I found out alittle more info...
I found out that I am half Menominee Indian from my adoptive father. I may have been part of the Child Welfare Act where they took indian children and placed them in White homes thruout Wisconsin. My father however, is Danish decent I'm told. My mother was young, under 18, therefore they had the right to take me from her. She may not know anything about the adoption. I found out the Menominee Indian reservation has had an adoptee "pow wow" for us who may have been removed. Does anyone know if the reservations have internet access??? I also have an older sister, her name is Amber. She was adopted after me when she was around 2, I think. She was born in Green Bay, in 1969. She says she is Iriquois. Sorry about the spelling. Ok, thanks.

A little help for you!
Hi there. I might be able to help you some. I am not sure what city you live in, but I am only about 35 minutes away from the reservation of the menominee, I kive in Green Bay, and am a volunteer searcher. My husband Is of the Oneida tribe, so I aware of how some of the child Indian welfare acts work. Do you have any information on either of your parents or maor about yourself such as how old you were when you were adopted? I will do my best to help you as much as possible. Take care.

Hi, sorry my computer crashed a few months ago and I am just now getting back online. I could use any help. I live in Ohio now so I can't do alot from here. I have been wondering if maybe I was a interstate adoption because my social security number begins with 392 and when being id'd the other day at the store a guy asked if i was from michigan, because of my social, i wasn't sure what to say but maybe that would explain why noone in wisconsin is looking for me. (i've been on ICARE for years searching with no hits) and see that michigan shoots right up by sturgeon bay??? hm..well anyway, I was only 3 months old when I was adopted. My sister Amber was adopted 1st before me and her birthday is November 16th, 1969. We are not biological but both American Indian decent. We were adopted by a Luthern family. So maybe thru Luthern Charities??? They lived in Oshkosh when I was adopted, we later moved to Cobleskill, NY. My adopted parents named me Matthew Baron Hahn, I did notice there was a Baron Wisconsin, but that may be only a coincidence. anyway, have a great day.

Where were you born? And what date? Do you and your sister have the same bio mother or father? Or were you just both adopted by the same adoptive parents? I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi there. I am going to start with your sister, because she was born in Green Bay. Does she want to know who her bio parents are? I might be able to find something on her this week, but I don't want to open a can of worms that she doesn't want. Sturgeon bay is about 45 minutes away from me. I used to live there, and I have been to door county memorial. Do you know the times that you and your sister were born?
