I found out that my mother had a baby before me when I saw my birth certificate. I was born in 1965. So it would have to be some time before that. My Mothers name was Carolyn. Unfourtunatly she died at the age of 32 to breast cancer.

She may have giving a fake name at the time because she was from a wealthy family and may have been taking out of state to have the baby.

I have no information on if the baby was a girl or boy. My grandmother wont tell me anything. I think it is because my mother married a black man and my grandmother never told anyone in her immediate family about that.

My hands at the time are tied. I figure that she knows a lot more than shes telling me. She may even have some kind of relationship with my sibling and does not want me to know. I have no idea.

My mothers side of the family is from Charleston, West Virginia. Then moved to Columbus, Ohio. My mother was born on 12/24/1941. Her Madien name is Carolyn Thumm.

Kim, I was also born in Charleston in July of 1964 and recently was able to find my birth mother. I was adopted through the childrens home in Charleston and contacted them to obtain non-identifying information. Through the information obtained I was able to get my birthmothers first name, birthdate and where she was from. I then went to the county courthouse and reviewed the birth records to find her last name and the name of her siblings. After getting the names of the siblings, I checked the national obituary to see if any of them had died. One brother did and I was able to read his obituary to get my birthmothers married name and location.

I have since talked with her several times and have found out that I have 3 siblings. We plan on meeting soon.

I think her last name was Marsh, and her first name is mary, and i am not for sure, but i think i ws borned in charleston.
