My mother was on this site but died in 06, now what?

A friend of my finance is a private eye. He found out that my mother was on this site and made a post on 6/1/2003 looking for John Sideris born on 12/16/1970 with brown eyes and black hair from Woodside Queens. Her age matches the age of my mother when she put me up for adoption.
I also found out that she had gotten married to a John Martino and had 2 children after me. My sister named Janine Martino and John J. Martino. My sister lives in Staten Island and my brother lives in Florida. I'm in the Bronx and want to go to Staten Island to see her. The phones numbers that I had led to dead ends and I am dying to put this all together. Can someone please help me by putting this post in the proper location so maybe I can get a response.

I also created a facebook page and contacted John and Janine martino, my potential brother and sister and am awaiting their replies!!1 Pray for me please. Thanks again.

So sorry to hear that your bmom passed -- my bmom died early also, and I never got to meet her.

Hopefully you will make a connection with your half-sibs, and they will share pictures and other memorabilia of your mom with you. If they take some time to initially respond, it might be because they had no idea they had an older half-brother and they are checking with their dad and other relatives. Hope everything works out for you. Best of wishes.

Congratulations -- I am so happy that you got such a positive response Great news!!!

Just be aware that for many adoptees, reunion can be the ultimate roller coaster ride and may bring many emotions to the surface that you didn't even know you had. Right now you are excited to have made a connection with your half-sibs, but eventually you may need to grieve the death of your bmom that you never knew. If you feel you need support in those times, these forums will always be here.

Once again, congratulations -- I wish you all the best!!!

Congrats!! Now I wonder, if you will go through the same stages of a reunion as if it were your birthparent...

That is great news!

If I never get to meet my birth mother I'd at least love to find that I had a full sibling. I have my adopted sister who is and always has been wonderful to me but it isn't the same as having someone with complete genetic ties. They may be just as quirky as me but it'd still be great!

Well, My reunion got Local media coverage in one of the nation's biggest newspapers!!!! It was going to get national coverage today but the Early Show bumped my story for an abduction case. Check out the news video here:

WOW!!! Thanks for linking us to the news video!!!

I am so excited and happy for you!!! Your brother and sister are such lovely people -- you are very lucky!

It's too bad the story wasn't shown nationally because it should be seen by more people (maybe it could inspire some bmoms and adoptees who have been afraid of searching.) Hopefully the Today Show will run it at a later date -- the nation needs more uplifting stories!

It looks like your siblings will be sharing lots of pictures and stories of your mom with you. And now you have some medical history as well.

I can't believe how fast this has all happened for you -- you must still be in a whirlwind. It's great that your sister lives fairly close to you. I wish you and your siblings all the best!!!

Just a quick update . Ever since our re-union 2 Sundays ago. We have been inseparable. My kids have slept over my brothers house with their cousins and I went dirtbike riding on Sunday with my son and Brother and my nephew and my Fiance' and my Sister in-law are like best friends. It's truly a remarkable story!! Thank God!

if you have a name try using Nextel (people search) I have used this many times to get phone numbers etc on a person I am looking for. Including my birth siblings. THere is a fee but cheaper then a PI.
