New to posting- and haven't visited much

My name is Jeremiah and was born on May 24,1978 in Granada Hills,Ca. I've been trying to find any information possible to find my birthparents!
I have all the original adoption paperwork that has my adopted parents name on it. I was adopted through the LDS and even recently paid Worldwide Tracers to help locate them but nothing!
I have filled out forms for the Non-ID info to both the State and through the Chruch/Agency and still nothing!

What would my next step be?
Thanks in advance

Its hard doing all the paperwork or any searching since I'm military and currently stationed in Va......

Finding lost people

Hi Jeremiah,

I'm not sure about all the paperwork you suggested, since I'm only 1/2 adopted...the way I found my bdad was thru Ancestry.com - if you have a date of birth on them, you can find lots and lots of information. I found out that he had two other children later in life and I contacted one of them thru Classmates.com

I hope this helps you - good luck!

How long ago did you request your Non-Id? Sometimes it takes up to 6 months for that stuff to come back. I am unfamiliar with LDS adoptions. Usually going through the agency is the quickest way to get that info. What kinds of information do you have about your bparents?

I heard from the LDS Agency in Ca- They are going to send me some forms to get notarized so they can send it in a package to the "Temple" in SLC.... but she also said that the agent at the Temple works extremely slow and it will take many months to get any info back

I am so sorry.. you must be very dissapointed..

I sometimes get very angry with a society that pulls stunts like this..
Changes the paper work.. does not allow a person their original birthcertificate..
Protects people.. ha..

Thumbs up Keep on searching!!!

California is probably so much different law wise, than Oklahoma. Here in OK, I went to the courthouse in the county that I was adopted out of. I then petitioned the court for my original birth certificate. I asked it to be opened due to medical reasons. I had to show documentation. The judge granted the file to be opened. I got the original with my birth name and my Mom's name. I found her by calling the county in which it stated she was from. I also called the high school there. I took a road trip and left her a letter. She just called this past Saturday. I am going to meet her this 5/24/2008 on our birthday. Keep searching. I hope this helps. Happy birthday to you and your Mom.
