I have seen that many adoptees have reason for searching for their birthfamilies. And it makes my heart leap with joy to know that there are so many searching. I, myself, am searching for my sister who was adopted and you all give me a ray of hope, that somewhere, out there she is searching for me, too.

Every time I begin to become discouraged, all I have to do is read some of your postings, and I manage to keep up the faith.

Thanks to everyone of you for words of encouragement and your faith in locating the ones you have lost in your life.

DOB 12-16-72
Birthmother: Patricia Ann Harris
Bio-sister: Kimberly Sue Stokes (me)
Adoption took place in 1978 or 1979; possibly was in foster care prior to adoption.
I understand the possibility of amendments made to the birth certificate, so there maybe variations to the name (ie; Theresa), or other changes.

Thanks for your reply and I always have to look to the bright side.

I know that someday I will have my answers. I just hope that it is sooner than later. There are some medical issues that my sister needs to be aware of, and also, she is an Aunt of the 4 most wonderfully intelligent and beautiful children in the world. I hope we find a happy ending.
