I am almost 25 years old and have been wanting to find my birth parents. I was born December 19, 1979 in Kentucky but adopted in Illinios. My birth name is Crystal Marie Johnson. I have been told that my birth parents names are Donna Johnson and Richard Lehmann. The story i was told is that my mother did not put me up for adoption, she was young when she had me and was living with her mother and got kicked out put me into foster care when i was 14 months old for 3 months and visited me every time then at the end of the 3 months signed me up for another 6 months then she disappeared. So the agency put me up for adoption without her consent because she could not be found. I have known all my life that I was adopted and I have never had a bad thought about my birth parents. I just want to know what happened. I have had a few medical problems, but nothing life threatning. I contacted Montel Williams a couple years ago and they either had no luck finding them or they did and they did not want to meet me. Does anyone know of ways that i can find out who they are???? Part of me feels like they should have no say in whether they want to see me or not they lost that right 22 years ago. I need my mommy i really do. i have so many questions for her and so much to tell her. I sit and think of what my life would be like if she did keep me and i think of all the things that i would not have if that was so. If anyone can help me please let me know. i have things that i came with to my family and i want to know if they are from my mommy or from the agency? and i have a picture of myself at 14 months taken the day i arrived at my foster parents ( adopted parents) house. Please Donna and Richard i have only love for you and could never turn you away you gave me life and i want to show what i have done with it and thank you. please you are my mommy and daddy and i am empty without you in it. i have lived the last 22 years without you please don;t let anymore time pass. Krystal - if you have not already done so contact the agency that handled the adoption and ask for non identifying information. If you know the city of your birth, try classmates.com to locate your birth parents. They might have registered with them. Register with adoptionregistry.com. Once you find out the city of your birth you might assume that your bmother eventually married. Try searching for marriage licenses. Have you tried the 1979 birth year forum on this site?

I have contacted the agency and they was $175 (for non identifying info) which i do not have right now. I have checked with Classmates and they were not registered. My friend printed out Marriage certificates of Donna Johnsons in the state of Kentucky and none were in the correct age range. There was however one in the death certificates that had died in 1995. I will try the 1979 year. Thank you for your help.
