Support Group In Northern Virginia
Does anyone know of a support group for single adopting parents in the Northern Virginia area? Or anywhere in the DC area?

Hi! I don't know of any support groups for single adoptive parents, but you can contact agencies that might be able to help. The agency we used was the Barker Foundation headquartered in Cabin John, MD but licensed in MD, VA & DC.

Single Adoptive Parent Group in NoVa
There is an informal group called Association for Single Adoptive Parents (ASAP) that meets every couple of months. I attended a couple times and it is a good group. Send me an e-mail if you want info.
