Gave birth to one son in 1976. I have another son born in 1983.

Thank you, I wish you the best of luck! I hope you find him! I was told I have 3 other brothers.. Waiting on information from Social Services.

In 1993 I went to the courthouse in Fairfax County, VA and started looking through books for about 6 hours. Since I am a birthparent, I knew my son's date of birth, city where born and agency, etc. I came up w/ 3 possibilities--1 had no sex listed, 1 w/ no hospital, etc. I then proceeded to the counter and asked for the 3 files! Bingo, I finally knew his name. I then searched local high schools, and when I saw his picture......I knew...gosh, he was handsome. I always thought that the courts kept it a big secret. Maybe it was fate.

Have you had any luck yet?? I now live 2 hrs from Fairfax but I have family there and visit every few weeks. I know in my case, Catholic Charities was absolutely useless.
