I have been in contact with a gentleman that is in charge for the fundraising, in the USA, of an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, called the Ky Quang II orphanage. Someone turned me onto their website because they are selling calendars as a fundraising opportunity for the orphanage. Anyway, they talked about a little baby boy that was abandoned at three weeks of age. It turns out the baby is suffering from Downs Syndrome. The medical issues of this infant have overwhelmed the orphanage and they have repeatedly admitted him to the hospital for better care. However, the hospital has given the baby back to the orphanage every time the baby seems to improve. The orphanage simply cannot give baby Thien the care he needs on a regular basis. The orphanage has enlisted the assistance of a local Vietnamese woman who is now acting as Thien's foster Mom, but at a great expense to the orphanage. Would anyone be interested in adopting this little baby? I believe that he was born in October 2001. If so, please post back and I will inquire more about him. This organization seems absolutely wonderful!
