We got an email this week that stated that our agency is out of opporating capital. They have been hit hard by the closures of Guatemala and Vietnam. They have also continued to do humanitarian work in Cambodia disspite it's closure. I can't believe this could happen to a small but very reputable company. They are a Hague approved agency. They have moved to a smaller office and let go of all their staff. The email states that they are not filing bankrupcy and will see all in process adoptions to completion. Where that leaves us, a family without a referral, I don't know and I am afraid to ask. Such sad ripples coming out of international adoption right now.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this. I've heard of this happening to other agencies.

Do you know anyone at your agency that you could email? When I was afraid to ask something I had one of my agency buddies ask since we were all in the same position.
