Wow! This time next month I'll either have a beautiful picture and information about Layla or I"ll be waiting to receive my dossier back. (What are we supposed to do with the dossier? Keep it for the memories?)

I'm feeling hopeful, anxious, nervous, and at times doubtful.

This has been a long journey for all of us. Let's keep the faith. Maybe we'll soon be sharing our referrals.

My agency gave out 3 referrals for baby boys on Friday. In the past 2 weeks, they have given out 4 referrals for baby boys in the past two weeks.

I read on another list that some provinces aren't giving out referrals to US agencies because they don't want to deal with our govt. so instead they give the referrals to other countries who are at the same orphanages.

I am a mess. I clean and eat and don't sleep. I am now (I think) #5 on the list and referrals have been pretty steady. I may lose my mind. I have my fingers crossed for you.

I actually emailed my list last week and posed the question I felt wrong posing. I asked if I could switch from the girl only list to the either sex list. And what did they respond with, the reason why I had never asked before to switch lists because it's not fair to the families that are waiting for sons. But I have to say, I did get some peace by asking. I heard God's answer clearly, it's either Layla or bust.

I am barely surviving. I keep going to the computer, praying for some good news. Any good news. As THE day rapidly approaches, I am getting more and more scared that we will not get our referral.

I was just told by my agency that we are 50/50 for getting a referral. WOW....that helps. NOT!!!!!!!

The unknown sucks, huh? You just wish they would say yes or no. But I would rather an "I don't know" than for our agency to lie to us.

Waiting sucks! And just think more waiting awaits us after the referral, this time with a picture of our child forefront in our mind.

On a good note, at least we have each other to support each other through this.

You ladies are my rocks in this. I really appreciate all your support. The way I carry on, you'd swear that this was my 1st adoption. LOL

And YES, Yash, I am so glad that our agency is so upfront with us. While we may not have much info, at least what we have is fact not speculation.

I'm happy to be there for you Sue! Its an crazy roller coaster of emotions and just because it's your 2nd adoption doesn't mean that you don't have them!

From what I can gather from my agency, I will be getting a referral, things have been going pretty smooth, so of course now I have my phone on me all the time and I'm hitting the refresh on my email constantly.

My I-600A renewal is off. YIIPPEEE!!! And unlike the first time, this time I went to the correct place. Last time, I sent it to a support center. They shredded everything, accidentally instead of forwarding to the adoption unit.

I got my paperwork back quickly (I was surprised) after being re-fingerprinted. But until I see Sam's face I am so not going thru the steps of certification and what not!
