Tax credit possibility

There has been talk between some PAPs and their government reps regarding families with failed Viet Nam adoptions being able to utilize the federal adoption tax credit. No person has said this will happen for sure, but reps are thinking about the idea.

Typically a failed international adoption is not eligible for the credit, but I think PAPs should demand it. We all have applied for adoption according to both U.S. and Viet Nam law. We have done everything that was asked of us by our governement and they have made decisions and taken actions that have effectively closed adoptions to us, leaving us out thousands of dollars. I think we should all contact our representatives and anyone else who we think will advocate for us to get this tax credit.
