Am I crazy?????????
Absolutely, but I can't help myself. I WANT TO ADOPT FROM VIETNAM!!!!!!!!!!!
The really crazy part is that we really can't afford it because we are still paying for DD's adoption from last year. So we are really going to be stepping out on faith. But I truly believe if it's the Lord's will then it will happen. DH says "yes" but we can't go indebt any further to do it, so again, we are really going to be stepping out on faith. I also already have 4 kiddo's, dd 21 and married, ds 18, dd 11 and dd 2 from Guatemala. I am 41 and should be very content with what we have, but I know 100 % without a doubt we should do this one more time. Terrified of international adoption again, our last journey was over 2 years, but again I know we have to try 1 more time. Thanks for letting me share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to wish you luck on your new adventure. I followed your story back on the Guatemala boards. I haven't gotten my baby home yet (have a referral from China May 2nd), and I'm already researching number two. I don't know how I'll aford it either, but where there's a will, there's a way. I'm happy for you.

It does seem like one questions their sanity, but hey, it's all about the timing! When something feels so right though....! But if you're putting your faith in the good Lord, if it's His plan, it'll happen. To this day I still can't figure out how my own adopted parents managed it 5 times, but I know He had a huge hand in it!!!
You haven't gotten to use your adoption credit yet have you? That might help you get you started, although it won't be until next year that you get any refund back. But for what it's worth, we're rootin' for you!!

Did you check with your work place? Some employers give money towards adoption.
Anyways if you do decide to adopt again I wish you good luck. It is going to be a wild ride but so worth it. |

It will all work out!
Where there is a will there is a way. Since you have several children at home and are still paying off the debts from the last adoption you may qualify for some grants. Look around and see what you can find. Also, you could do some fund raising.
BTW, my son was adopted from Guatemala. I think there are several of us looking to build our families from both countries. Very exciting! Oh, as for sanity-we are all a little insane on occassion. Good luck and welcome to the Vietnam board!Cathleen |
