Congratulations! This might seem silly but what is I-797? Is it a different form that is needed for Vietnam then is needed for Guatemala?

Congratulations! The I-797 is the same as the I-171H. Different states use different forms. Don't know why.

The I-797C is

the equivalent of I-171 that I received in Maryland. I was jumping up and down when I got it and then I had to call my agency to make sure it was the "right" form. Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Thanks for letting me know what the I-797 is and that is a really big step. Hopefully your husband's passport will be there before you know it!

Smile My husband's passport came today!!!

We're off to the notary and county courthouse on Wednesday (our state requires a county seal on everything before the state seal).

Ugh! No, that's not possible

I can't drive to Annapolis with the 4 kids and sit there all day AFTER sitting at the Baltimore County Courthouse. We're actually thinking of Fed Exing them to the state.

I'm NOT jealous....I'm NOT jealous...ok, well....a teeny bit!!

It's so fabulous that you all are SO CLOSE!!!

And here I am, still researching agencies. Maybe I'm a little too picky, choosy, anal...?!? Please, DON'T answer that!

Actually, I think we've narrowed it down to Holt International and FTIA. Better to be down to 2 than still being buried under packets from 8!

But here's a YIPPEE YI YO! to all who are WAY further than us.
