And the fingerprinting is done...

Now I am just waiting for them to send me the I171h, which hopefully won't take long. So close to being done I can almost grasp it!!!!

Congratulations! Isn't it nice when you can check another thing off of the paperwork list?

This link shows the estimated processing times:

Hope that helps a little.

Thanks Lucinda, It is great to check something off my list, I love lists and marking things off of them.

Thanks you for the link, they say they are processing from January, I really hope that isn't true.

Teri,

I found that the estimates are "Worse Case scenario". Ours came 2 weeks after fingerprinting. If I went by their timeframe, we'd still be waiting.

There is a Buddhist saying about adoption...
It basically says you and your husband must have loved your baby very much in your previous life, that you were able to find her again in this life.

Thank you Sue!! From what I can tell from people I have talked to here I got my appointment way faster than some of them. I was planning on starting the stalking of the mailman in about a week or so. LOL

That's great news Teri! We are still waiting our fingerprint appointment. I figure it can't be as bad as last time. We went into the New Orleans office the Friday before the hurricane and did everything (sw dropped off homestudy, we submitted our paperwork, paid, and got fingerprinted). Everything was locked in the office for a month. We then had to do an addendum saying we still had a home. It took a total of 3 months to get our I-171H. In the end the wait was worth it because we have a wonderful son!

we just did the fingerprints too!

Hi! We just had our homestudy last week and then our fingerprints done this past Thursday. I am told both will take 4 weeks, so I am going to start looking for the I-171 (or whatever it is...) in about 5. Perhaps that is optimistic, we will see! Anyway, everyone have a great week!
