A wonderful family visiting Linhsey's orphanage has sent me an update
with pictures!! She weighs 18.5 lbs. He said the director told him that the adoption file is progressing well. If anyone is interested in seeing the pics please check out my blog. http://chloeinchina.blogspot.com/ She is so beautiful : ) He also said he would email me more pictures in a couple of weeks when he returns home from their visit. I can't wait ! ![]()

Cutie!
Norahs, she is a cutie! She is doing very well at 18.5 lbs. I always thought the same thing, how big my son looked when he was being held by his foster mom, and still do most days think he is a big boy until I see him playing with other kids his age. He is not as tall as I often think he is. I hope your dossier starts moving faster so you can bring her home soon.

Everyone that I talk to tells me she looks older than 8 months. I thought she looked big when she was 3-4 months old and a woman who was there and held her told me she actually remembered thinking Linhsey seemed small for 3-4 months old. Guess I won't know until I'm there!!
Wonder what size clothing I should bring??? I looked it up and my son was 20 lbs 8 oz at 8 months old and that was the 57th percentile for weight. He was in the 97th for height though. He was Linhsey's weight when we was 6 months old. How much weight on average do babies gain a month? Wonder how different she will be 2 months from now?? Sorry, just thinking out loud.. ![]()

Weight
If I remember correctly, babies add 1-2 pounds per month until they are about 12 months and then they slow down to about 1 pound every two months. When you buy cloths buy up one size. For example, if she is 18 pounds at pick up then make sure the cloths say up to 20 pounds. I took some cloths that were too small for my son on our visit trip and had to hand wash a bunch. HTH!
