We just received the 171 back in the mail this week and was wondering if anyone else has received theirs and what they are doing from here. Our agency is not allowing us to get started on the dossier yet, but I am a tad bit ahead of myself and have all the documents ready to go. We are just needing one document from out of our state ( Missouri ) to be certified and it a birth certificate that will need to go to Califorina. Getting antsy and woulld like to get this done. Does anyone know how long it may take for doucments to be state certified in California? Please share any info you may have.

I just received mine about a week ago myself. I have my dossier documents notarized and will be going to get them authenticated at the state(nc) level in about a week. Sorry I don't know anything about California.

We just completed our dossier and sent it last week to the Vietnamese Consulate to get it Authenticated!
Why aren't you able to start your dossier yet, is it because they don't want documents to expire?

Congraulations to everyone else that have already recieved theirs as well. how exciting to have already sent your dossier over -- I bet you are so excited I know that I will be. Have you received the referal yet for your your little one. If so please share all the details, I cant wait to hear all about it. Yes they are not allowing us to start the dossier yet due to the expiration dates on the paper work, but yes our agency is licensed and have already had a couple of groups that have been to Vietnam to pick up their little ones. They have been recieving refferals almost daily so far and and my husband and I are trying to be patient waiting on ours. Quick question, how many of you are trying to adopt daughters, our agency stated that the majority of the families that are currently waiting are all hoping to adopt little girls and for us to be prepared for a little boy due to us being open to gender. I was just wondering if this is true for alot of the agencies. Has any one picked out names yet for the babies and if so please share some of the names. Again congrats on all the progress -- that means we are all one step closer.... I cant wait ( but I know I have too) Please share all the news..... Thanks
