help!!!

I am looking for my birth mother...I was born in St. George, Utah on 10-19-1980, adopted 3 days later, through LDS Social Services. I have a great adopted family, and am now a proud parent of my own. I want to share these and many other experiences of my own, and hope to find my parents. I have registered with the Adoption Registry here in Utah, and havent heard anything for almost a year. Is there anything else out there that could help?

We adopted through LDS Family Services. And each year at my son's birthday we send a letter to his birthparents. (Through the agency). This is probably a new policy.

Have you talked with your adoptive family about finding your birthfamily? Have you gone to the LDS Family Services office to find out if they will give you any information? I know that they should have it. But I don't know what the policies were 22 years ago.

Best of luck!
Stephanie

p.s. My Sister and her family live in St. George. And so do my Grandparents.

yes, i have contacted the family services in St. Geroge. My wife also has family down there, so we visit often as well. They say that the file is sealed, and that i can only get info that is medical in nature, or that has to do with my birth moms personality. I have already applied for them, and havent heard back yet. Do you know of any other resorces for adoptees in Utah?
