Oh please help me!
Before I rush out to buy a pregnancy test (which may be some time!!) I need to know if these are symptoms of pregnancy...
My period is late.. The area around my tummy is slightly bloated out like I'm about to have my period, but looks maybe a little more bloated that usual. I normally suffer extreme period pains every month, this month I felt just 3 very short and hardly painful (but same feeling) pains.. but nothing follows. My breasts are normally sore or tender just before and during my period but this month, nothing. No discharge for a while I slept with my boyfriend around 2 weeks ago and my period was due around 4 days ago.. and I normally get about a week to a week and a half of period pains before my period starts. Is this a sign of pregnancy..? Why would I still be feeling small bursts of pains? And is there something I can take to stop anything at this very early stage if I am pregnant? Really would appreciate some help, thanks. |

Yes, they could be signs of pregnancy - but they could also be signs of ovarian cysts, endometriosis, early onset menopause, stress, gas…you get the idea…
The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to take a test…there are many crisis pregnancy centers out there that test for free – as well as cheap (and reliable) tests available at many different dollar stores.

I would call your doctor or go to planned parenthood or your local Department of health and human services for more information and options. They can help you wether you are pregnant or not and if your not they can help you get on birth control to help prevent this scary situation in the future. If you are they can help you know your options and help you get on state insurance if you don't have it...so you can see the doctor and receive early pre-natal care.
I'm sorry your going through this right now, you don't have to go through it alone this site is a great place to come for support as well as the places I mentioned above. Your first step would be doing the home pregnancy test or even going to DHS to have a free test done. Try not to worry to much....just take the test and go from there. |

I live in the UK and trouble is my lack of money, understanding parents, and boyfriend (who is in the US) so it's hard for me. Thanks for being so kind in your replies. I hope pregnancy tests aren't too hard to come by or too expensive.

You can get a pregnancy test at the dollar store from one to five dollars. Good luck with this, right now the best thing to do is be patient and wait!
