Help!! Please read! I really need help.

My girlfriend and I had protected sex a day after she was supposed to have her period. I did not know she was late at the time. The first time, I had an orgasm quite quick, and decided to keep going. When I pulled out, I was still hard and the condom was still on, but it felt slightly wet. I got scared and looked closer, and it looked like maybe some of the semen started working up the sides of the condom. When I pulled it off, I found a lot of semen inside the condom, so very little (if any) could have gotten out. It still worried the heck out of me. 2 days later, she tells me that she's been late on her period, so I start freaking out. The next day she gets her period, and it eases a bit of tension. 2 weeks later, she tells me that she had "discharge" or something where the egg drips out of the vagina while she goes to the bathroom or something (gross). So, she tells me she can't be pregnant. Well now we are on the 27 day of her cycle. She usually gets her period on the 24th or 25th day, although the last one came late on the 29th day (I guess it's not really late, but later than her usual). She hasn't gotten her period yet, and I'm litterally tearing myself apart. She had a tender breast which she told me she always gets before she has her period. I'm still freaking out. What are the chances that she's pregnant? Please, I need some reassuring as I'm sure this whole thing is going to drive me insane. I cannot sleep. I can't eat. I've seriously worried myself sick. Any knowledge anyone can share with me would be great. Thanks!

Okay, first off...try not to worry. If she's already late, have her take a home pregnancy test. Then you'll have something to work with.

If she's later than her normal period, get a home pregnancy test to alleviate worry.

Hey, thanks for your time. Last month, two days after we had sex, she got her period. Up until then, she got her period on the 24th or 25th day, but got this one on the 29th day. So it was late for her, but not "late", if you get what I'm saying. Today is the 27th day, so again she is "late" for her cycle, but not the normal "late". We just took the First Response home pregnancy test, which claims can detect the hormone up to 5 days before the missed period. It came up as negative. While a lot of the tension has been lifted, I'm still asking myself "What if?"

So with the pregnancy test negative and all, what are my chances now that she will be pregnant?

Sorry if any of this is worded strangely. I'm doing the best I can.

Taking chances leads to problems..

You remind me of what happened to me a lot of years ago.. I was playing russian roulette with sex and I got pregnant..

Something may be telling you to stop what is happening..

Maybe this would be a good opportunity for you to think about what you'd do "if". With that thought in mind, maybe you and your girlfriend should have the conversation of "what if". You may have factors not disclosed that make your "options" somewhat limited - how long you've dated, how old you are, etc. Don't forget you may not have a clear negative yet. My sister-in-law (married to my brother for 2 years) is due with their first in a few weeks, and her first two pregnancy tests showed negatives. Since they were negative, she participated in social drinking when they were out only to find out she is pregnant and now she is counting down the days to count 10 tiny toes and fingers. Best of luck to you!!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I had two home pregnancy tests that were negative and one hospital blood test that came out negative and I was still pregnant. It took 4 weeks after my period was due for us to get a positive result. Some people's bodies are just different. They say you can *usually* trust a positive on a home pregnancy test, but not nescessarily a negative. I'm sorry to make you anxious again. I hope everything works out well for you.

Hey I have some more bad news for ya... I was 2 months pregnant with my twins when I found out I was pregnant. I thought that couldnt be because I had my period... Well my doctor told me that sometimes you can still get some bleeding even when you are pregnant. I had a little spotting until my 2nd trimester. Dont count on a period to determine if your pregnant or not. Just because this test was a negative I would still wait until she is at least 30 past due and then take another one... if it is still negative wait another week and take another! I like whoever says that the safest protection is abstinence! Very true my friend!
