I don't know what to do. I think I might be pregnant but I'm not sure. I had unprotected sex about 2 weeks ago, and I've been worried for about a couple of days. I'm on the pill, but I missed a day a couple of days before we had sex. I've gone online and looked at all the signs of early pregnancy, I've seen about 14 of them and I have all signs but one. Could I just be thinking i have these signs because I'm so worried? I even went out and bought a home pregnancy test. I was happy for a bit when it was negetive, and then i reread the instrustions and realized that it's too soon to tell and that it was totally pointless. I'm so scared. I don't know what I would do if I was pregnant, and the wait is killing me.

You did not mention what symptoms you have, but a lot of the super-early signs of pregnancy are similar to pre-menstrual signs: sore breasts, feeling emotional, etc.

HOWEVER, that does not mean you should just ignore this. When is your period due? Have you missed it yet?

There are home pregnancy tests that can give you an idea if you're pregnant up to a few days before you're period is even due. Try one of these, at the appopriate time. If it comes back negative, you still are not in the clear, though, because it is possilbe to get a false negative if the pregnancy hormones in your body have not built up enough. So if you do take one of the early tests, and it comes back negative, and you miss your period, try another one in a couple days. If that comes back negative, too, but you still don't get a period, GO TO A DR. At the very least, you'll need to find out why your cycle is off.

Also, I'd like to suggest that you try a different form of birth control, if you are missing days on the pill. The shot, IUD, the patch....

And you should always use a condom in addition to your birth control. No birth control method is 100% (except abstinence), and birth control doesn't protect against STDs.

This is just a suggestion ~ if you would happen to be pregnant, this is a place that could help - Liberty Godparent Home - they are in Virginia, but take girls from all over. Here is their website: http://www.godparent.org/

They help with any decision you might make - parenting or adoption. If a girl decides to parent, they have classes on parenting, etc. If a girl decides to place for adoption, they have an adoption agency right there and the girl gets to choose the birthparents. They give counseling no matter what decision the girl makes, it's her choice.

i think i might be have a baby too. i have all the signs but my test keep coming back negative. I'm quite scared about this whole thing. and my boyfirend is quite sick of hearing about it. any help would be great. if anyone has got there period and was expeting because the pill forced you please let me know

i have food cravings , allways going to the bathroom, i feel sick after i eat anything. and my poor boyfriend all needs to rub my tummy and i just feel funny and my last two periods were very late and one was very short

Those are also signs of PMS. I have had very simialar symtoms as you angel and am not pregnant. Some women do have spotting (not a flow like a period) when the egg is embedding into the endometrium wall. But it is more rare and if you are having this you need to get looked at. I have read that about 1/2 women who have bleeding, their pregnancy can result in a miscarrige. Don't take my word for it. SEE YOUR DOCTOR. My guess angel, is most likely you are not pregnant. I am glad though you are making an appointment.

When is your appointment, Angel? I hope everything goes okay. If you think there is a chance that you're pregnant, it's definitely worth the expense to get a home pregnancy test or go to the doctor.

I concur with mj77...I get all of those things during PMS also... And missing the pill or taking it eratically(or taking it daily, too..) can throw off your periods.... I ve been on almost all the pills out there and they all had weird effects... if you arent PG maybe your doctor will recomend a different pill...

Welcome to the boards. I hope you have a good time here-- there is some great support.

I see this is your first post..... I don't want to be offensive AT ALL, it is great to have you here. However, it's probably a little early to be asking angel what she's going to do. If she is pregnant, she's probably going to feel very scared and a bit lonely and extremely stressed. It is waaaaaay too early to be thinking about adoption vs. parenting. Right now she just needs support.
