Exclamation Birth control problems

Hey,
I have been on the pill for a while but i have been talkig it very *sigh* irresponsibly. I miss pills all the time, take them at different time and double up on them also. I know what im doing is really risky but i guess i kinna feel like im immued to getting pregnant. I know its not true and i also think that i might be pregnant. I have very sore boobs and im expecting my period in about one week. Do you think that im probably going to be pregnant? or get pregnant? I'm very confused because well im only 15 and *sigh* my boyfriend is 19, my parents don't even really have an idea about whats going on. I feel so horrible i just need someone to talk too. Another thing is should i stop talking my pill right now or should i finish the 3 i have left? Thanx alot!

My advice? Take the last three pills and wait it out. If you arent pregnant, consider another form that you dont have to worry so much about.....patch, ring, shot...these are all options that you dont have to remember to take daily. Plan B (morning after pill) could be kept on hand incase of any mishaps. If you ARE pregnant, weigh your options from there.

You need to get to Planned Parenthood today to find out if you are pregnant or not. If You are you need to weighyour options, whether to parent, have an abortion or place the child for adoption. You need full information on all your choices. If not, you need to get a different kind of birth control. One that does not require you to take it every day.

Broken angel,

I agree with the other women about getting a new kind of birth control.

Just wanted to tell you that I am on the patch, and it is soooo much easier than the pill. Only have to switch it once a week.

I have an IUD...only have to worry about it once every 10 years!!! LOL But I think you can only have that once you have given birth at least once with no complications! Its a great option for those of you who have though...I have the one with no hormones (had tons of effects with all the different pills I took!) and it is great!

Hmmm, thanks for the info! Maybe I'll look into that. Once every ten years beats once a week! LOL.

Is it expensive to get an IUD?

It was fully covered under my insurance....so not sure... I would venture to guess it would be the same co-pay as you currently have. It should tell you in your policy manual though...

Hi 79nic,
No form of contraception is totally reliable, and the pill will not protect you from STD's.The condom doesn't protect you from all STD's because many can be spread by skin to skin contact.
Cases of chlamydia are on the increase.Chlamydia is often symtomless and can cause infertility if left untreated. If a first pregnancy is aborted surgically there can be a risk of damage to the cervix, increasing the risk of future miscarriages.
Many counsellors now recognise PAS(post abortion syndrome),which somewomen experience after abortion. There can be feelings of grief, loss, guilt, anger, depression, etc which many women find hard to deal with.
If you are pregnant try and find some good unbiased counselling to help you make your decision, and make sure you are not rushed as what ever decision you make will have long term consequences.
If you are able to talk to your parents,I'd advise that you do.
The reality is that any sexual relationship could result in a pregnancy,or possibly a STD so each person needs to be prepared to face the consequences.
I hope it works out well for you,
Jude.
