Adoption & Children Act (England & Wales)
.
The remainder of the Adoption and Children Act 2002 comes into force on Friday the 30th of December 2005. Are you aware of how this affects you and your rights to various services as an adoptee in search of your original family or as a natural mother wishing to re-establish contact with an adoptee? If you are the parent of a child who is likely to be adopted do you know your rights. The government is supposed to have been publicising the new regulations on access to information and search and reunion, I've not seen any of this publicity at all. In brief the, the changes can be seen on this webpage http://www.familylawweek.co.uk/library.asp?i=747 from Family Law Week magazine I rather think they must fear a rush in the New Year as I've seen virtually no publicity for any of this anywhere in the news media.
