Those of you who are interested in the Adoption Contact Register for England and Wales and the ONS services to adoptees, might be interested in downloading the following two volumes of the ONS's in-house journal, ‘Population Trends’.

Given that they completely fail to acknowledge the fact that many adoptees do not need to apply to the ONS for counselling in order to obtain their OBC, some the stats in the article ‘The proportion of adoptees who have received their birth records in England and Wales’ may also appeal to those of you who enjoy a good work of fiction.

Re the Adoption and Children Act 2002 Implementation, Consultation on Access to Information, let us hope it gives everyone some ideas on what to say when they reply to the part of the Consultation wich deals with the Registrar General's funtion'
