Multiple Adoptions in Ukraine
Does anyone have word on multiple adoptions in the Ukraine? We are strongly considering adopting more than one, but word is the Ukraine will only allow siblings to be adopted for an adoption
of more then one. This could be ok as well, but, I understand due to poor record keeping, siblings are not always very identifiable. Anyway, would really like to stick with the Ukraine, I understand Russia could be a possiblity if one wants more than one. Also, its so expensive and time consuming, going back would be quite difficult. |

I know several families who are in Ukraine adopted unrelated children now.
There is a new rule that you must have 1 original dossier per child regardless. So adoption does became more expensive due to authentication two dossiers. Also the adoption process is longer. I know several families who adopted the first child. Returned to the adoption center for another referral. Then they adopted the second child. One family is a single mom. She had to get "special" permission from the adoption center to adopt two. She was told that the AC only lets single woman/men adopt 1 child now. Angela Waner Natasha a 12/5/2000 from Kharkiv |
