Your homestudy will address each problem and explain what your course of action was in dealing with it. Some agencies might tell you no, but there will be some agencies that will accept your situation. Don't get discouraged, you just may have to shop around for a homestudy agency to do your homestudy. Just tell them the situation upfront, prior to any payment and make sure it will not be a problem for their social worker. Some agencies has stricted rules than others. I don't think it will be a big deal in Ukraine as long as you have dealt with these issues. You were the victim in the situation and it isn't fair if you are punished for the actions of others. I think you should be applauded for dealing with some pretty difficult issues and getting help along the way. I would be upfront about it, but I also wouldn't worry about it too much. I stressed about similar past issues during my homestudy process, and it turned out fine. They don't expect us to be perfect. They expect us to have had some problems. I think they focus on the point of what we did when a problem or situation happens. Also remember there are lots of agencies out there, and if one seems hesitant, than go find another agency with a more positive outlook. Good luck to you.
