How horrible!

Why in the world was this man allowed to adopt in the first place if he had two prior convictions? I am going to go back and read his website better to see if the name of his agency was mentioned. This is sure not going to help those of us in the process of adoption!

I don't think this guy had 2 convictions, I think he'd been investigated twice before, but probably there was no enough evidence or something. However, you'd even think an accusation would be enough to put up a red flag for a home study & background check.

This certainly will not help with adoptions in Ukraine and I believe that he went Independent. There has been so much bad publicity about Independent adoptions in both Ukraine and Russia in the past year or two. From what I have heard in Ukraine, they may decide to go more towards agencies and get rid of independent adoptions in the future. However, I don't think that will happen for a while. Things are bad enough right now without them getting any worse.

sick, sick, sick,

I am just sick to my stomach thinking about this!

On a brighter note....Several people on the FURA board received letters from the new ministry over the weekend. Although, they said that the letter didn't say to much, atleast it is a start. I am praying that mine will be in the mail when I get home today!
