Red face What about Airlines to Ukraine?

Some of you may have read some of my post regarding all of the difficulties we have had getting everything right for NAC and I am happy to say that after all these months we finally have a date, July 4th!!!!!! Indpendence Day!!!!!

Now we are starting to think about our travel. I need advice as to airlines and best service and rates. We do happen to be going during a high dollar time of the year and of course like everyone, we are need to conserve money so that we can pay all the "expedition fees" which may need to be taken care of (ha)

Thanks
Phyllydoll

We used Lufthansa but had a travel agent book our flights. Little choice. They were pretty good for us. We had an empty chair between us most of the time. That helped on the long flight home with a 17 month old!!! The cost for our child to ride in our lap was about $300-400. Best of luck!

We used Delta/Air France. Delta used to have an adoption rate where they would charge significantly less for the child.

Smile Airlines

Hello,

After months of this very subject you bring up; we have FINALLY made up our minds & are doing the adoption fares with NW/KLM. Yes; you could get regular airfare, but then you face most likely paying penalties if you change dates (& with adoption, who knows the return date). Regular fares are non-refundable. And, buying your child's one-way ticket bacl is VERY expensive. With adoption fares; he'll pay half of whatever your adoption fare is. You can change dates with no penalty & they are refundable. I have come to the conclusion that with adoption fare's you are buying a huge peace of mind. That's exactly how we feel.

I wish you luck!

Are you going through an agency? Doesn't the agency help you with this type of thing? We're going independently but, the lady who gives us help is making all our travel arrangements for us!

Best of luck to you! I hope it all works out and I"m SO glad to hear that you've got your date! God has a plan for you!

J
