We're adopting indepently but, not through the name posted by the original poster (wasn't sure if I could say it or not!) but, I've heard she's wonderful! The lady who's helping us told us to expect to pay around $15,000 by the time we're home with our new child.....more if that turns into children! A couple I know who just got home with their two year old used the same lady we're using and they ended up having about $2000 left out of the $14000 they took with them!

Yes....we adopted and had a positive experience in 2003. I'd suggest that you contact them directly and they can put you in contact with recently returning families. Our TOTAL cost from the homestudy to authentications (this was before the new process of apostilles), travel, travel to Warsaw (no longer required) for two children was right at 20K.
