Hello
My name is Jon and I live in Ireland.I was adopted at birth by my granparents and I found out when I was sixteen that my real mum is my sister but I dont know who my real dad is.I have always felt different and strange and was wondering if there is anybody out there with a similar story.I am 27 years old now and I am thinking about tracing my real dad as the curiosity is immense but am not sure if it will solve anything. Any advice would be welcome.. |

re adopted in ireland
No one can answer that question for you, but if i was you i would go for it. I have just begun seriously searching and have got an appointment with a social worker today. By the way my bmum came from waterford but i was adopted in london i think adoption laws are different in the republic is this true or not?

Don't loose heart. It would be a good idea if you searched for your family.

Hey Tracy
How didi it go with the social worker.Dont worry...maybe my post came accross that I am down and out but it is far from that as I would consider myself to be fairly happy. I am not sure about the difference in adoption laws..how was da weekend? Jon |
