Savage Family Newcastle
Hi. Wondering if anyone can help me?
A few years ago I started to look for my siblings who I knew had been placed for adoption. Originally, it was to see if anyone had an illness which had affected myself. First, there was my sister, born Beverley Savage, born 26th of May 1965 at Hillcrest Maternity Home in Alnwick, Northumberland. She may have been of chinese origin and also been known as Helena, last known living in Baxter Avenue, Newcastle. Next, came myself, born Damien Savage, at Hexham Hospital in Northumberland on 20th June 1967. After myself came Mark Philip who was born on the 7th of January 1969 at Newcastle General Hospital in Newcastle. He did live for a while at Middle Street, Newcastle. I have information leading me to believe that Philip was adopted by a doctor and maybe relocated to the York area. Last but not least, a surprise. I found another brother, Robert Bradley. We have met up several times, speak often, and get on really well together. Obviously, there are a lot of questions being asked. Brad was brought up in his early years with our b/mother, Wendy Savage. Brad and Philip may have the same Father, who Brad in is touch with, but he is very reluctant to bring up the past. I am unsure of Beverley's father, but he may have worked at a restaurant called Asia Blue in Newcastle. My father, I am led to believe, is called John Robinson, who worked as a lorry driver and was last heard of living in Cavandish Place in Jesmond, Newcastle. I know it is very little in the way of information, but Brad and myself are hoping that someone may remember something. Thanks in advance if anyone can help. ![]() Last edited by raynsam : 04-14-2006 at 04:05 PM. |

Hi,
I'm new to this but I noticed you was interested in whether your siblings had been ill too. There is a place called the NHS Central Register (adoptions), Smedley Hydro, Trafalgar Road, Southport, PR8 2HH Fax: 01704 569651. Email: carol.porter@ons.gov.uk. Unfortunately there isnt a phone number. Only a contact email and fax number. But I think you can contact her and let her know about your illness and if it is likely to be inheretied, your birth family may find out. Im not sure how it works but it was just a idea anyway. ![]() |

The phone number for NHSCR Adoption Section, (the last time I contacted them in 2004 at least) was Robin * Last edited by SchmennaLeigh : 10-08-2006 at 01:28 PM. |

Have you asked (recently, since the new law started at the end of last year) whether social services will help. If they won't you can ask an Adoption Suppot Agency to help, they can search and find out whether an adoptee would wecome contact or share information. But they charge and it can cost over £400, but somtimes you can get help towards that. see Adoption, Search & Reunion for more information on that Robin * |
