We try to integrate AA history and culture to her learning as much as possible. We realize life will be different for her than if she was raised with a black family, but she was put up for adoption willingly by her birthparents, who picked us to raise and love their daughter. I have a hard time with today's sometimes VERY closed mindedness on this subject. If you are willing to switch to the positives of transracial adoption, I will be more than happy to help you in any way I can. There is too much negativity in this world without trying to make such a wonderful thing in our lives (and SO many others too) seem like a bad thing.

Thank you Vickie for your reply! It would be great if you could help us. Unfortunatly, we cannot switch sides. If we could I'm sure we would. But our teacher wont let us switch. But thanx n-e-wayz. Now all we need is to know how a child would feel knowing that they are the only member of the family of his/her own race/religion. (that's one of our questions). So if you know anyone or some other person that is reading this,can please tell us, we would appreciate it. I wish you luck with raising your daughter, Vickie!!
