Adoption of AA child is a wonderful experience!!

I would love to hear from other adoptive families of children from a different race. It would be nice to share viewpoints on things and just have someone to chat with. Here is my email address purplebutterfly252001@yahoo.com I would love to hear from you!!!

I think it would be so wonderful too!!!
When i express my feelings about this to others they usually don't understand my way of thinking or something. My whole family is white and my dh and 2 dd's are cau/pacific islander. I would love to adopt a baby from, Samoa, Tonga, Haiti, or here in the us, AA or bi-racial! We can and still will have at least 1 more bio baby, but whether you adopt or give birth yourself, when it is your child it is your child and you can only love them in that way. My feelings on this! We are a CA couple that adopted an AA daughter, she is our sunshine. We also have gotten no negative remarks. I have a darker complexion and I hear often that she looks like me, but when Hubby is along ( he is fair skinned) than people question if she is adopted. I agree it is a great experience. We are starting to learn about her heritage, she is only 8 months and we want to know more, so we can teach her as she grows to be proud of who she is and where she comes from.
