You let him play in water WHILE you cut his hair with electric clipper? That just sounds extremely dangerous.

LOL - I have a friend who wears glasses, and can't see a thing when he has to take them off to have his hair cut. Once, the barber took a very long time to cut his hair, and when he handed my friend his glasses and the mirror to have a look at the back, he said, "You don't have to pay me if you don't want to."

Good point for most people. Ours are waterproof though.

My DH takes our DS to an AA barbershop. He should be going every two weeks to maintain a neat look but DH doesn't like going every two weeks. I grew up in a military family so I prefer fades and hair being edged or lined up... every two weeks is a requirement to maintain that look.

Over the years I've had hair stylists of various races but they all had extensive training and experience with AA hair. One particular salon I went to required all their stylists to be able to do all textures of hair. Some of the CC stylists actually preferred to have AA clients because of the frequency that AA's go to the salon. AA's are in that place every week or every two weeks having something done. I used to go every single week and sometimes twice a week.

I'll admit that I've gotten a little funny in my old age and prefer to have a man do my hair. It's not that I think they can grow hair but rather they know what looks good on a woman and that scalp massage they give is worth the trip to the shop. LOL!

I do not go to the beauty shop anymore because I'm chemical free. Yay! I'm on the natural and organic kick because of family health issues. Plus I didn't want DD to fall into that unending trap of straightening her hair chemically. Baby girl has beautiful hair... why mess with perfection...

Oh, I didn't even know they make waterproof clippers. I may need to still your trick when I start cutting baby A's hair.

Yup, we had our first set because DH used them in the shower to trim up his goatee...so we've always stuck with them...makes rinsing the hair out easier and stuff too

I really like them because they are a little smaller than the full size sets that you see at a barber. Easier to hold and move around little ears
