NONE at all??? :-0

met someone today who uses NO conditioner on her 2 yr old AD's AA hair??? -apparently because its flammable. IS it flammable to the point of being at all dangerous? (this is one even my mother missed if true)
just wonderin'...and no, i haven't seen kid's hair but third party says its very dry
thanks!

maybe she uses hair creme of some sort instead? I use conditioner heavily on A but I don't think it does hardly anything... I think the hair oils and creams that I use are better at keeping it from getting too dry.

Wow! And from my experience in reading labels, yes. Most OTC products for hair ARE flammable. While that's not the greatest thing.....a LOT of products we put on babies and use everyday could be flammable. And, consider this: How WOULD a baby/child's hair catch on fire unless they were unsupervised or being held by someone who smoked cigarettes, or something unusual such as that?
I agree the product contents aren't great to put on a baby/child....BUT, there ARE natural products too.

I can't imagine how dry an AA child/baby's hair might be without ANYTHING? (sigh)

Sincerely,

Linny

yeah...after a few washing, even fire retardant clothing will catch fire...but I still use it on my kid...

I would agree with Linny. Use more natural products, but you have to protect the hair from really drying out somehow...Or it will just break everywhere....

Doesn't this mom realize that dry hair is also flammable?

FWIW, I don't put any conditioner on my son's hair. It's not as soft as my husband's hair, but not brittle or coarse.

Use natural or organic products. Avoid sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate. Avoid anything ending in the suffix "paraben" (like methylparaben). Avoid anything that just lists "fragrance".

We use Burt's Bees for Jack's bath and body.
