Hi there I own Snapaholics...come on by anytime! My stuff is pretty much all plastic....I didn't catch if your daughter is black or biracial? You can check out my gallery for photos of how snaps are used by my moms. They are nifty lil' things!

Hi Steph,

My daughter is biracial. Many of the clips/snaps just slip off her hair (or she pulls them out easily) as it is quite fine. I'll take a look at your website - thanks!

Hijacking for a minute, I LOVE your site! My baby Athena doesn't have enough hair for the styles. (I'm pretty distressed because I think she's lost some hair now at 15 months!) I really like the Zulu knots though... are those hard to do?

the trick with snaps so they do not pull out easily is to wrap the end of the hair around the hinge at least 2 and possibly several times and then mash the very end of the tail of the hair in the closure. That should keep a "puller" from easily pulling them out. Snaps, that i sell, are not the same as "snap clips" which are those clips you just slide in and then pop them down (they are kind of curved) my snaps are like a barrete concept without the bar that a barrette has. On my how to page i have a photo demo of how to use snaps. I think i have a vid on you tube also.

Steph
