Question Lint Lint Lint

My DD is almost two. She has extremely thick hair. We are having some issues with her hair. It seems that no matter what I do, by the end of the day she has got lint, cat hair, fuzz and everthing else stuck in her hair! What can I do to prevent this? Am I not using enough/the right products???

Thanks in advance!

I would love to know too! Our DD is just 6 months, so I figured once she's a bit older and not crawling on the floor this would get better?

My little guy's hair can be a major lint trap if he's rolling around on the floor a lot Though I've noticed that the more moisturized it is the less it seems to collect things, though if it's over moisturized (ie, wet) it'll obviously pick up more. We haven't dealt with that much lint lately but that's probably because he's a lot more upright now, though if we go to a house with a cat in it the hair pretty much gets sucked onto his head.

Ty's hair picks up more dog hair than my vacuum. Thankful 2 of our dogs are black though, so it's only the random dog hair from the corgi that stands out

I haven't figured out anything that helps. His hair is super short right now and it still gets stuck full of lint and everything else imaginable. He get so annoyed when I pick at his hair to get things out too In the tub I comb it out while it's wet, which is easy cause it's so short, and I get so much stuff out of it. I was planning to grow his hair out for corn rows in the fall, but now I'm not sure...so much stuff would get stuck in those corn rows...how would I get it out? Anyway, I can't let it grow out till the fall anyway, we have so many ticks in this area that I am paranoid that a tick will latch on him and I won't see it..hence the super short hair

So no ideas for you, but I hear your pain!

Both Caleb and Ainsley have this problem. Ainsley gets lint in her hair over night, and sometimes it can cause some bad snarls. Now that Caleb is eating food, he gets crumbs in his hair and they are hard to brush out!

It might sound strange, but I have a dog that sheds a lot, so I had to get creative. Use a lint roller - the kind that is basically an inside-out roll of masking tape. It isn't super sticky so it doesn't pull the hair, but it picks up all of the little stuff on the surface - like dog hair. :-)

Wow! Hadn't thought of THAT one, nmmomma....but it sounds like a good idea! I have one DD who's hair is very thick......she doesn't like it braided, but only in pig-tails. Okay......BUT, lately the lint is crazy! I've thought maybe this was due to having too much oil/moisturizing in it; but it sounds like that might not be the problem either.
Oddly enough, we don't have as much difficulty with the other childrens' hair. Ohhh, it might get lint, but not nearly as much.

Sincerely,

Linny

Ok.. as I got L ready for church this morning, I got her hair done (including all of the lint!). I sat her on the couch as I finished getting ready!

Well... as usual.. when I got back she was rolling around in the floor with our WHITE DOG! lol.... I can't find our lint roller (we just moved) so I grabbed the masking tape. Her hair was still damp from the oil and Spray, so it didn't pull it out. I just held her hair out and got the lint with the tape. It worked really well!!

Thanks for that tip!!!
