Fisher-Price Loving Family dollhouses

Boo hiss! They come in "Caucasian" and "African-American" families only! No Hispanic, Asian, or Native American, and then you can't buy the adults and children separately. They do have pairs of one parent and a child, but not parents and children as a single option. I was hoping to put together a family that looked like ours.
Just... disappointed. I also get frustrated that dolls rarely have curly hair, even AA ones will have straight hair.

Have you checked out Multicultural toy store with dolls, puppets, toys, games, and doll clothes | DollsLikeMe.com I don't remember dollhouse dolls, but they do have a nice selection.

I agree that toymakers don't take multiethnic families into consideration, and that a lot of ethnic dolls are based on CC "molds." Let's write to them!

Yes, they are! They just take the white doll and put different color paint and hair on it. Thanks for the website, looks good!

Thanks for this link!! I'm already making a wishlist for S's birthday because our family is already asking what to get her! She's not going to be spoiled or anything, ha! I love the books and dolls on there!

The m/c's, the infertility, the waiting, the failed matches, it has all been worth it to have our beautiful baby S. She was meant to be ours we just had to wait for her to come along!
Our God is so Good!!!

I was able to buy AA children separately! This would have been Dec 06. I think I may have ordered them from a catolog or direct from F-P.

Try eBay.

Now, I think it's awful that "mainstream" toy producers can't get it together enough to offer multiple versions of its toys. However, the "green" parent in me likes the fact that it means people end up reusing older toys, or looking for mom-and-pop producers.

I try to see the bright side.

Child #1: Is that your mother?
Child #2: Yes.
Child #1: Why is she white and you are black?
Child #2: Because I am adopted, and black people have more melanin than white people do.
Child #1: Oh, let's go on the high bars.
