I love it!!!! And he is so dead on.

The thing that truly upset me the most about the Repub Convention (and which the writer alludes to) was the "villification" of the word "community organizer." Sorta like black people are supposed to sit back and shut up. Arrggghh!

Thanks for passing this one along. When you see racism first hand, this isn't at all shocking or surprising. But for those who live in a bubble and believe that we've come far in terms of equality of races in this wonderful country of ours, hopefully it might open some eyes, just a little.

We must also remember that as people of color, we should not harbor anger against white people. People of color should never make white people feel guilty for having white privilege, because everyone on this planet harbor some sort of previlege. Such as hetrosexual previlege, male privilege or simply being born in this country and not having a thick accent could also be a privilege.

I thought that was a bogus article. On so many levels....According to those arguments, the only thing I could surmise that would match in junior high immaturity is that black privilege must = infanticide. And let's face it, that is exactly what he would have.

Its it just me or is this link a little anti-republican? A mean, couldn't they give general examples of people throughout history - both democratic or a Republican as examples of white privilege?

FullQuiverMama, are you saying that the author or Barack Obama believes in infanticide? In either case, I think you are really off-base and absolutely wrong.... Protecting a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body has nothing to do with infanticide, IMO....

I was surprised to find the article in the Transracial Adoption. Aren't most kids here half white?

My daughter is half white, and I found the article extremely offensive for her. I wish my daughter to be able to embrace her full self without being made to feel like she owes anyone 1/2 of anything for the color of her skin.
