Question about hair snaps

I am a newbie here and have a bunch of questions. I have a 11 month
old AA girl, she hasn't had much hair until recently. Today I tried
her first hairstyle I put it in a bunch of little pony puffs, I just
used the damage free elastics, and they are very hard to use on a
wiggly girl. By the way I did her hair while she was sleeping which
made it a lot easier, but still I didn't seem to get them tight enough
and they are falling out. So I was wondering if the snaps would work
to hold the puffs, or does anyone have any suggestions on what I can
use, or what I can do to make it easier?

Thanks for your help,

Nicoel

I don't think the snaps would work for puffs, they can be their own task - they are best for the ends of braids, and then you have to wrap the hair around them and then snap.

By damage free elastics . . . do you mean the fabric covered ones? If so these won't stay in my girls hair for anything. I have to use the little black ones that come in the bulk bags of 100-500 (and I 'snip' them out - I don't bother trying to pull them out)

The elastics I used weren't the fabric covered ones, just the bulk bag. My daughter has a lot of hair in the back, but not so much on the top and sides, so I can't really do much with it, I guess I just need to wait for it to grow in.

Walmart has these great one's I use. They are a shiny black (or colors) and I put them in and cut them out with hair scissors in the evening. You get like 100 for 3.00. I use to only use the colors so I can see them better when cutting them out. Not sure about hair snaps as I have used the elastics since she was 3 mo. old. Drihan has always had a thick head of hair even with being preemie she had tons of hair but no eyebrows or eyelashes
