My husband and I are looking to adopt a biracial newborn but my head is spinning from all the different agency choices. Can anyone suggest an agency that doesn't charge any upfront fee besides the homestudy and application fee? Thanks have a nice weekend.

Just want to vouch for Linny's list, I used a referral off of it and was matched 7 weeks later and our daughter was born 7 weeks after that. She'll be 2 in February and the love of our lives.

Can you please pm me that list too? I'd really appreciate it. My husband and I are still new into the adoption journey and right now are in classes to perhaps adopt a baby from the foster care system, but we want to know of other options as well. We've researched other agencies but they charge a large upfront free. Any help you can provide would be great. Thanks.

I have pm'ed my updated list to Noalis, anivan and doxie. I hope they might help in some way.....

I have taken some time to call some of these agencies/attorneys within the last month, and have found that a couple of them now DO charge more up front. This does not set well with me, believe me.....sigh....

You know, if I'd not decided to stay home and have more babies, I believe I'd be starting my OWN adoption agency. Huge up front fees are too often 'legal robbery', and definately taking advantage of adoptive couples as far as I'm concerned.......

At any rate, if anyone else would like a copy of my 'list', please pm me. So often I go a few days without checking many forums.
