Question about son's remark
My bi-racial son is 10 years old. I recently found a football play that he and some friends had written out and one play was called Fat Boy 107 with the play written out and the other one was called Half Black Baby with the play written out. Should I be concerned? Is this okay? or is this another time to talk about his birthparents?

Hi Mamabee,
Why not just ask him about the football plays and why they use the names they do? Who decided what the names are? Are they all calling each other names that are meant to be derogatory or descriptive? From his responses you may know whether you need to have the bparent discussion again. You may need to talk about how names can hurt others (Fat boy 107).
