New to the Boards
Hi Everyone!
This is my first foray into the world of on-line forums . . . I've been reading the forum for a couple weeks now, and am ready to join in. My husband ("dh", right?) and I are in the process of adopting our first child. We're in our homestudy now, and our agency will start showing our profile to bfamilies in June. Adoption is our first choice for building our family. (We plan to add bio kids later, hopefully.) We are choosing adoption specifically to become a multi-racial family (hubby and i are CC) and so far, the extended family has been pretty supportive. We're in upstate NY, and working with Adoption S.T.A.R. in buffalo. (if anyone has any experience with this agency, please PM me.) That's about it. Just wanted to introduce myself.

HI and welcome to the boards!
My DH and I have had 5 bio kids and adopted twice. One little boy is 1/4 Japanese and one little boy is cc/aa. Dh and I are both cc. Best of luck,

Hi, Unity,
We chose adoption for expanding our family. Had 3 bios and then signed up to foster-adopt #4, who arrived about a year ago at 14 months of age. Good luck with your process, hope you get chosen soon!

Welcome!!!! We too are CC with two bio teen daughters and our beautiful full AA baby girl. We got her at 3 days old after only waiting less than 2 weeks for her!!! Enjoy your stay here!

Hello!
Hi! DH & I just adopted a newborn AA/CC baby boy, from Missouri. We're in CA. Adoption is also our first choice for creating a family, although we don't plan on having any bio kids. It's nice to be on these forums, with such varied people and experiences.
