I've been itching to post my baby's picture here for over a year!! Finally, I can. My little guy was placed with me 17 months ago and we finalized our adoption on 7/1

My Journey 5/07 Contacted foster care agency 9/07-10/07 PRIDE training 10/07 Homestudy- I passed! 11/07 Home inspection 12/07 I am officially a licensed foster parent! 2/08 Baby boy D arrives, 10 days old  10/08: Identified surrender signed  7/1/09: ADOPTED by me!!!!

This thread is really tugging at my heart. All of your little ones are SO gorgeous.

Started our adoption journey on 12/30/07 We were Chosen by Birthmom- 11/24/08 Baby girl born 12/7-we were there for her birth  Finalized 4/17  The m/c's, the infertility, the waiting, the failed matches, it has all been worth it to have our beautiful baby S. 9/07 - Matched with birthmom through a mutual friend 11/30/07 - Homestudy complete! 2/27/08 - Match failed - birthmom never signed papers  5/5/08 - signed with new agency 5/12/08 - chosen by birtmom! 6/8/08 - it's a girl! 6/17/08 - Home forever with our little girl! 12/15/08 - FINALIZED!   5/7/09 - Homestudy approved for #2! 1/27/09 - present - several leads, but none have panned out.

wow she is soooo pretty!!
The one in the target cart is especially cute. Can she walk yet? I like the pupster too!! What a fluffy guy. He reminds me of a stuffed animal. Last edited by oceanica : 07-23-2009 at 08:19 AM.

Thanks, Oceanica! She can walk holding onto things, but not on her own yet. I think she's mostly just afraid to try though! Is Athena walking yet?

Not yet... she can pull up/cruise or walk with somebody holding her hand, but she doesn't quite have the balance to do it alone. Her favorite thing is to stand at the coffee table and throw everything on the floor.
