Countless African-American infants waiting ...

I try to tell them about adoption, but I sometimes get the response, "No one is going to want to adopt my African-American child." And to that I reply that that is absurd. That there are many, many wonderful couples who would love to adopt their baby. I was just wondering is that true? I would imagine that someone who sincerely wants a child would want any child regardless of race. Am I looking at the world through hopeful rose-colored glasses? If someone out there sincerely wants a baby, try typing in the words African-American Adoption in your search engine, and you will see that there are countless infants waiting to be adopted.

In response to your post, you are truly doing a wonderful thing by giving these women hope, instead of them thinking that no one would want they're babies. I myself am an adoptee, and have often thought about adopting a baby myself one day, and color would never be an issue in our family, we just want to open our home to any child who needs a home. We want to love and nurture this child, and give them lots of love. So if ever you are talking to these girls again, please tell them that our thoughts and prayers are with them. Sincerely, Brenda........
