Cool Hair Books
Hi,
We are adopting a seven-year old hispanic girl with beautiful curly hair. I love doing fun stuff with her hair, but she likes to have some control and wants to decide how she wants it most of the time. I have noticed that pictures work well with her, because I can tell her "let's try that" and she'll agree and get excited about a new hairstyle. But if I just tell her I want to try something new, she isn't interested. Does anyone know of a good hairstyle book for children with all types of hair or just thick curly hair? I have seen a lot of good books for AA hair which matches her hair texture better than caucasian hair, but still the books aren't quite right. The books for caucasian hair seem too simple or just plain silly-looking. What are the best books you have seen or used? Thanks! |

You might try "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey or "Hair Rules!" by Anthony ****ey. The website www.naturallycurly.com might also be helpful!
