Stuff.

Well,
I dont have kids but I know some so here's some thoughts.

Movies:any Disney ones are always good,
Power puff girls,DragonballZ ,Pokemon, Spong bob.

One thing I know almost every kid I ever met liked
even i did as a child.
Was playing with cardboard boxes.

I would take pens or markers or what ever and draw in them and preten they were a car or a space ship or somthing like that.
So Cardboard boxes are cheap and can be fun.

May wanna think about that.
Well thats my two cents.
Thanks bye!

When my sons were those ages, the favorite toys were those that exercised their imaginations and creativity. Lego blocks were probably the biggest hit. They are expensive, but they took good care of them and were absorbed for hours, so the pleasure was worth the investment. We stored them in dishpans according to type like pirates, space, city, etc.

5 year old son

We have a 5 yr. old bio son he likes

computer games of all kinds
Thomas the tank engine videos, books, etc.
Go to www.thomasthetankengine.com - games, puzzles etc.
brio wooden train set - this also comes in thomas the tank engine stuff - this is good for children 3+
hot wheels and the race track things that go with it
making his own ramps for the hot wheels
electric trains
anything that has to do with trains
Rescue heros www.fisherprice.com - there is a website of Rescue Heros stuff with games and printouts, etc.
Legos are always a hit too. Sometimes adults or older children need to help with these at first.

My son loves to be outside he loves to ride his scooter and bike up and down the side walk with his friends or by himself

he loves his swing set and play fort

he loves to swim and play in the sprinklers - anything out side.

Of course, I think his favorite thing is just playing with me and my husband, no matter what it is. It does sound like you will have your hand full and not have a whole lot of spare time.

We play board games, card games - go fish, old maid etc. ( a set of these cards are sold at Walmart) my husband and son love to run around the house chasing each other and "beating" each other up - not rough just fun and exagerated falls and stuff.

I hope this helps

What a wonderful couple you are to open your hearts to these children.

Cheryl

I forgot!! My sons' favorite toys were milk carton blocks, and they're free! Open the top of two half-gallon milk cartons, trim off the edges, and carefully force the open end of one carton into the other. Push all the way together to make the block. The kids can build towers or other structures and you can build towers around them after they get old enough to sit still for the construction. Then they burst out laughing and start all over, again and again.
