Poor Two Year Olds!

How about a positive thread for those poor two year olds! I fear we may be frightening some of the newer parents with a few of the threads lately (don't get me wrong - I'm all for participating in those also!! LOL )

Anyone else want to share something fun, cute, or brilliant about their two year old?

My DD loves her little brothers. And 13 month old DS loves peek-a-boo. Only he says "BEE!" instead of boo and then laughs and laughs. Usually I'll say "where's G?" when I'm pulling his shirt on and when he pops his head out he'll say "BEE!". Well, tonight I was pulling my DD's pajama shirt on and said "where's D?". She popped her head out and said "BEE!!". Then she pointed to DS and said bee again and just laughed and laughed and laughed. And DS started laughing and saying bee. And it was just so hysterically funny. She plays peek-a-boo with him all the time. I just can't get enough of it. He'll actually hide his head behind something and DD will say "where's G?". It's so simple and amazing.

My DD is such an affectionate child! Her words are taking off like crazy (she's been with us for 3.5 months). Now she asks for hugs "ug!" and kisses "shiss!" all the time. From us and for her baby brother. If one of us is holding the baby, and DD wants some affection, she'll wrap her arms around your leg to give you a hug and kiss your leg.

Well, two year olds are better than three year olds (is that what you are looking for, Jalepeno? hahahaha).

Good thread! They are really alot of fun!

My little man is just the funniest and caring little guy. He is extremely responsive to his 4 month onl sister. When she cries, he goes to her and says "No cry, E" and gently kisses her forehead and rubs her back.
He is also the most hilarious thing right now. Last night he came in frm walking with DH and looking at Halloween decorations and he was doing this funny move, shifting his head and shoulders to the side and bending over and sayiong "Fall Over". He was showing me how the big inflatable ghost was blowing in the wind and looking like it was falling over. And if everyone is laughing he will start cracking up just to be a part of it!

Oh I could go on and on and on...hahaha (it almost makes me forget about the tantrums and stuff!)

I've got to agree with loveajax...I thought two was tough. Two ain't got nuthin' on three-year-olds!

I actually do miss the two-year-old days sometimes. My girls are getting too grown up!

This week K has been saying so many cute things--I wish I could remember to write them down--because I already forgot! (Especially since tonight was another meltdown--oh! forgot--that's for another thread! )

I do love when she comes to me and puts her arms around me and says "Mommy, here is a Great Big HUG!"

I think one of the neatest things at this age is how K has been develping friendships--she loves friends.

K also loves to watch football and yells TACKLE and gets very excited when they do!

Two years old is trying on some days but I agree that this age is also very fun!

My son is almost 3 but since he's been home he just makes me laugh every day. And he has gotten to be more and more fun overall. Sure, some days I am tired of negotiating everything and just want to get out the door, but when things are going well, he is just a riot.
Yesterday he went to a toddler concert with my mother and came back and put on a "show" for me.
His language has been exploding and he has a great sense of humor.
I guess he is closer to 3 now, but has just been so much fun this last year.
Today, I made him have some quiet time in his room because he is refusing to nap, and I told him I was having quiet time too. He came into my room with a stuffed animal and said "Mama, you need an animal?". It was so sweet.

Oh, that's so cute!! I laughed out loud.

The other day my DD was playing and laughing with her younger brother. She stopped at one point, put her arms around him and said "I love you". Took my breath away.
