Kelcee is loving to dance now and makes up her own songs.
She is also imitating cooking and then offering you some and telling you, hot mama. She loves to play the piano so we have to put the soft pedal on so it doesn't hurt our ears. She also wants to be mama's little helper and she tells you mama me hep (help) LOL

While I do love this thread, I feel kinda sad about it. My Timo does so much, but I get worried when I see other 2.5's doing more! I know he has caught up so well from his time in the orphanage, and I need to focus on that.
T can count to 20, but skips from 13 to 17. He can mostly sing the abc's, although most of the letters are slurred together. He is SUCH a great big brother. He just loves Marco so much, and love to play with him. When we walk into the living room in the morning, he will say Mommy, put Marco floor!! Then he lays down next to him and talks to him and laughs and they just have a ball! I love it! He LOVES to help. He will help me with the laundry, vaccuuming, dusting, or anything else. Today I caught him with the windex trying to clean a spot off the carpet! Timo is an awesome kid. I just love him to bits and pieces. I will try to think of more to brag about and come back!

Ran out of time earlier, but I didn't want to leave my 3.5 year old out of the bragging.
She knows her birthday, including month, day and year and how old she is going to be. She knows her phone number and if she is on a big phone number kick will tell anyone in ear shot what it is. She can write her name with capital first letter and lower case for the rest of the letters. She can get all of her snow gear on, including zipping coat, by herself. She can count to 30 including one-to-one corresponding counting. She is very proud of her sister and tells everyone "That's my sister" with a big smile. |

Dawn,
I don't think you have anything to worry about. Timo sounds like he's right where my DS is and I think he's right on track!

The bragging reminds me of my friend who is a third grade teacher.
When I was worried that DD wasn't "talking" as much as I though she should, I remembered her line: "Most kids do the same $%^& eventually." My other favorite line of hers: "All my kids' parents think their child is gifted. I have taught for twenty years and have yet to teach a gifted child." (hahaha)! I know it's hard not to compare, Dawn, but T sounds like he is doing great....Plus, I didn't want to mention in the "brag" thread about DD's "issues": refusal to sleep, biting episodes, etc.!!!!!!! |

ooh! i just found this thread and just have to add mine.
my loving son is 18 months and... gives kisses all the time! (especially on the legs for some reason) loves animals, points and blows kisses everytime he sees one (including on T.V.) also loves trucks (says "uck") loves our dog and can say her name "Luca" can sign "more, help, drink, and all done" is so social he makes friends everywhere we go (including shopping where we get lots of free cookies and stickers from adoring store clerks) waves and says hi to everyone he sees has the cutest giggle i've ever heard has a great sense of humor and understands silly jokes and pranks is spunky and firey and fights for what he wants he always has a plan and is never dull or boring keeps me on my toes and even when i'm tired and frustrated i love him for it makes me laugh everyday! thanks for letting me post all the wonderful things about my son. p.s i read this to my husband and he actually started tearing up!

This thread is cracking me up--it's good to know that all toddlers seems to have crazy memories/a strong sense of order/mini-dictator tendencies!!
Today Megan did really well grocery shopping--she took a kiddie cart, pushed it around the store, let me hand things to her off the shelves and she had to put each thing in her cart. We got all of her "special foods" (natural hot dogs, gluten-free rice milk, etc). She waited patiently in line at the end too! She even took a turn at the credit card swiper thingy. She took her shopping very seriously! |

OK not really a "brag", just a funny:
DS had a time out tonight and was crying. When it was over, he got up, hugged me, said sorry and then, get this, pointed to his eye and said "look at this tear".

Oh the drama!! That's too cute.
MAM has suddenly stopped sounding swedish with the "ya" and now says "Yes" most distinctively. All of a sudden, over the weekend, "Yes" became her word of choice. How very novel!!! |

DD is 25 months old and so amazing sometimes:
-she can sing the whole ABC song, twinkle twinkle little star, jingle bells, etc, etc -she can count up to 16 -she can ride a tricycle (as of yesterday!) -she uses sentences like a pro -she can hum certain songs (twinkle twinke little star is one) -she can pick up the cat (pretty impressive since the cat is about 25% or more of her body weight) -she throws and jumps well -she kicks balls really well -she is starting to memorize some books that we read to her and she can "read" them to us from memory -she sleeps and eats pretty well She is strong willed though and at times has tantrums, but other than that she is a pleasure. Love reading what everyone's kids are up to!
