Toddler girl hairstyles???
Graces hair is so whispy and thin, I just don't know what to do with it. I put ponies and barettes in it but they only last until she realizes that they are there and then she rips them out. I had to cut some bangs because it was hanging in her face so bad.
I am just at a loss at what to do with this baby fine rats nest???? Anyone have any hairstyle suggestions??

How about those wide hairbands (all soft elastic, like they give you at a spa to keep your hair back) I think they are cute---kind of retro 60's, and comfy.
Sorry I'm not more help. I have the exact opposite problem with H---he needs haircut number 8 right now. |

Oh, thats a good suggestion, I'll have to try that. I think I have one for me, maybe I can double it over and try it on her until I can get a smaller one. I'll let you know if it works!

I wish I could help! My nieces are all African or biracial, so totally different hair type!
Now, if I'd let my son's hair grow out, I'd be in your boat. Superfine and hilarious in this dry, winter weather - does your daughter's stick up on end all the time with static electricity?

Britfish: Use Google and put in children's hairbands---there are a bunch of sites w/ cute ones for little girls.
I love, love, love my son, but I have to admit that I sometimes wish I had a little girl to dress up. |

Oh, does it ever stand up!!! It is funny but it is also so sloppy looking! When she wakes up from her nap we tease her and say birds are nesting in her hair! I'll have to post a picture.
Ok, off to shop for headbands, a whole new world of accesories to buy!

I pull a piece from the top of Sophia's hair and pull it to the side into a small (rather pathetic looking) pony tail and then I put the barrette in. If I just put the barrette in it will fall out of her fine hair, but if I put it in over the elastic band it is pretty much there all day.
Now, she will take it out when she is tired and twirling her hair with her fingers. Gymboree and Children's Place usually have the cloth headbands. Those are good too.

You could also try putting a cream leave-in conditioner in her hair. I have baby fine hair myself, and it helps to add a little weight to the hair, and manage the fly-away look somewhat.
